KG Landscape will core aerate your lawn (2) times during the same visit, which creates twice as many holes as a standard lawn aeration service. 

The grass seed that we spread, will collect within the holes created by the core aerating service, which provides the seed-to-soil contact needed for seed germination. 

Note: double aerating prior to overseeding is crucial, because if grass seed is spread on top of a lawn without aerating first, is not likely grow sitting above the soil.

We overseed your entire lawn with a blend of premium new of sun & shade mix seed varieties, which are hand selected by our owner and Turf Specialist, Kent Gliadon. 

With watering, this grass seed will wash into the holes created by the double pass core aerating and as the cores/soil plugs break down, the soil from those cores will wash into the aeration holes, perfectly covering the seed as intended.

As this new grass germinates and starts filling in your lawn, you will notice that the vast majority of these new seeds will emerge from the holes created by the double pass core aeration service. 

Our double pass aeration and overseeding service will ensure that you have the thickest and best looking lawn possible.  This service is highly effective for renovating thin, shaded,  and high traffic lawns.  You will notice a drastic improvement for for an excellent value in comparison to other renovation options, like sodding.

We Recommend Aerating Every Year

One of the best ways to keep your lawn in great shape, is to annually aerate each the Fall.  Late August to Mid-September in the best time of the season to aerate your lawn in Minneapolis and St. Paul. 

Lawn aeration prevents compaction from negatively impacting the health of your grass and has a huge impact when it comes to building and supporting deep, healthy root systems.  Our MN lawns are prone to soil compaction issues, because of the compaction we that we cause when mowing, walking in our yards and other activities.

 
There’s reason that golf courses aerate every single year in MN, because it’s needed and great for your lawn.    Note:  If you are already doing a double pass aeration and over-seeding service this year, then adding an additional fall aeration service is not necessary. 

Many or our customers alternate between our double aeration & overseeding service and our Fall aeration each year, which is an excellent plan maintaining the nicest lawn possible.
